Background of the Study

Strategic marketing plays a pivotal role in achieving business success by aligning marketing efforts with organizational goals, responding to customer needs, and adapting to market changes. Nigerian Breweries, one of the largest and most successful brewing companies in Nigeria, has demonstrated the effectiveness of strategic marketing in driving business performance. Through innovative marketing campaigns, product diversification, and effective distribution channels, Nigerian Breweries has been able to maintain a dominant position in the competitive Nigerian beverage industry (Akpan & Akinbo, 2023).

The company’s strategic marketing initiatives have been central to its ability to capture market share and expand its customer base. These initiatives include digital marketing, brand positioning, and leveraging consumer insights to tailor products and services. The impact of strategic marketing on business performance—particularly in terms of sales growth, market expansion, and profitability—has been a subject of interest among scholars and practitioners alike. This study seeks to analyze the role of strategic marketing in enhancing business performance in Nigerian Breweries, specifically in Kaduna State.
